Blindfold Match added to tonight’s episode of WWE NXT

WWE continues to look to the past for gimmick matches on NXT’s weekly shows.

WWE has announced that Cameron Grimes and Dexter Lumis will face off tonight in a Blindfold Match. This is a throwback to WrestleMania 7 where Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Rick Martel wrestled each other with blindfolds on. Roberts the babyface relied on crowd reactions to help him find Martel in the ring.

Also announced for tonight’s show:

– Io Shirai will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley
– Finn Balor returns to address his jaw injury and the status of the NXT Championship
