WWE SmackDown star expected to be released soon

As seen this past Friday night on SmackDown, WWE brought back Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake and they are now aligned with Baron Corbin.

It also looks like the plans for The Forgotten Sons have been scrapped. At one point, there were plans for them to feud with The New Day over the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

They were pulled off TV shortly after Ryker’s anti-Black Lives Matter comments were discovered. He also got some heat on social media for anti-mask comments on his Twitter account.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Ryker’s absence from SmackDown:

“He wasn’t there. There’s a reason he wasn’t there and the reason he wasn’t there is the reason they haven’t been around for a long time. Those poor guys got a lot of heat from him because he’s a complete idiot.”

Meltzer also added, “they haven’t got around to cutting him. I would expect that next round of cuts, he’ll be cut.”

Stranger things have happened in WWE and there’s always a possibility that he could return but right now it’s not looking good for him.
