WWE has offered Matt Riddle a new multi-year contract for big money
Matt Riddle was called up to the main roster earlier this year after a successful run in WWE NXT.
Riddle’s contract is slated to expire next August and now the company is looking to sign him to a new deal. Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Riddle is negotiating a new contract that would keep him under contract for several years.
Meltzer noted that it’s “said he’s pretty much agreed to terms for a three-year deal at $400,000 per year guaranteed plus $50,000 for every show in Saudi Arabia.”
Meltzer brought up the story about how Vince McMahon doesn’t understand Riddle’s bro gimmick but does love his segments as he finds them to be funny.
Riddle signed with WWE in 2018 with just four years of experience in the pro wrestling business. He had been working for EVOLVE, which was a developmental system for WWE, before signing with the company.
Riddle defeated MVP this week on Monday Night Raw in a singles match but is not scheduled to compete this Sunday at the WWE TLC pay-per-view event.
