Attitude Era
The Attitude Era was a period in the late 1990s and early 2000s in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) characterized by an edgier, more adult-oriented product. The era saw the introduction of a more controversial and rebellious style of storytelling, with a focus on provocative, controversial, and often times outrageous storylines and characters. Notable wrestlers from this era include “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Mick Foley, and The Undertaker. The Attitude Era is considered one of the most successful and popular eras in professional wrestling history and helped bring the WWF to new heights of mainstream popularity.
