Ronda Rousey shares the one thing she doesn’t miss about working for WWE

Ronda Rousey is enjoying her time away from the world of WWE after having a successful run.

She made her in-ring debut by working a tag team match at WrestleMania 34 then went on hiatus after working the first-ever main event of WrestleMania featuring women in 2019.

The former Raw Women’s Champion did an interview with Digital Spy while promoting World of Warcraft: Shadowlands as she is part of a campaign for it.

During the interview, she was asked about something that she doesn’t miss about WWE. It’s not the bumps that she had to take, but rather the brutal travel schedule that all wrestlers have to do while under contract with the company.

“I love wrestling but I think it was maybe Sarah Rowe (Sarah Logan) who told me this, she wrestles for free but they pay her to travel. The hardest part I think was just not being able to lay down horizontally, you know. Taking a bunch of hard bumps, your back hurts and you just want to lay down.

“All I wanted to do between shows is lay down with my legs up and traveling you’re just sitting upright all the time and my back would kill me. So the actual act of traveling I do not miss it all, it was the absolute worse.”

Rousey brought up how she had to deal with a back injury before signing with WWE, which made traveling extra painful. She noted that her bottom vertebrae in her back was broken in half. She added that she loves being home on her extra firm Tempur-Pedic mattress every night.

Rousey’s WWE contract is set to expire in a few months.
