REPORT: Vince McMahon threw a fit about the working ability of certain main roster stars
In recent years, it seems like every week there is a story about Vince McMahon ripping up scripts for Raw and SmackDown episodes or the scripts for those shows not being done until hours before they go on the air.
However, the WWE Chairman is apparently not just upset with what creative has for his weekly television shows, but also the working ability of certain wrestlers on the main roster.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that McMahon isn’t happy with the work rate of certain big guys so he’s ordered them to take classes with Adam Pearce and Drew Gulak as instructors at the Performance Center.
Meltzer wrote, “Vince McMahon threw a fit about the working ability of certain guys on the main roster, mad in particular about some of the big guys. He’s ordered some of the guys back to the Performance Center with two classes per week with Adam Pearce and Drew Gulak as instructors.”
Meltzer didn’t mention the names that McMahon was upset with. WWE has moved training sessions to a new facility near the Performance Center, which has been transformed into the Capitol Wrestling Center for weekly NXT TV.
The majority of fans would agree that the work rate in WWE is as good as it’s ever been these days even though wrestlers who work for the company have to adjust to the WWE style.
Triple H has stated in past interviews that when wrestlers sign with WWE and start working in NXT they have to go by the WWE playbook in regards to the style compared to what they had been doing in other promotions or on the independent wrestling scene.
