More details have emerged about Rhea Ripley’s recent injury. She sustained an arm injury, suspected to be a shoulder injury, during a WWE Raw segment where Liv Morgan attacked her backstage on the Raw After WrestleMania XL show on April 8, 2024.

On the latest episode of WWE Raw on April 15, 2024, Ripley appeared with her arm in a sling. She took to the ring and joined Raw General Manager Adam Pearce to address her injury. Ripley announced that the injury would sideline her for several months, leading her to vacate the WWE Women’s World Championship.

According to a report from F4WOnline.com, Ripley suffered an AC joint injury. The former WWE Women’s World Champion, who held the title for 380 days, revealed that she will be out of action for an extended period.

During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez disclosed that Ripley’s injury is a sprained AC joint. He mentioned that the injury occurred during the altercation with Liv Morgan and typically takes 4-6 weeks to recover mobility and up to three months to fully heal.

In a passionate moment during her promo on the April 15 Raw, Ripley placed the WWE Women’s World Championship on the mat in the ring and issued a warning to the future titleholder. She vowed to return with a vengeance when she is back in action.

As a result of Ripley vacating the title, WWE announced that a new WWE Women’s World Champion would be crowned on the upcoming episode of WWE Monday Night Raw on April 22, 2024.

Overall, Ripley’s injury setback has not only affected her championship reign but also set the stage for a new chapter in the women’s division. Her determination to return stronger than ever promises a compelling storyline for fans to follow in the coming months.
