Former IMPACT star Taya Valkyrie has reportedly signed with WWE
According to PWInsider, former IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie has signed with WWE for the NXT brand.
The report indicates that Taya is expected to be part of the next announced class of signings.
She trained under Lance Storm. Before signing with IMPACT in 2017, she worked for DDT Pro-Wrestling, Lucha Libre AAA WorldWide and then Lucha Underground.
Taya is married to WWE Raw Superstar John Morrison. They both had a great on-screen partnership in IMPACT when Morrison wrestled under Johnny Impact in the company.
Taya is the longest reigning Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion in history, holding the title for 377 days.
Her final appearance with IMPACT Wrestling was on January 19. She was in a backstage segment as she was revealed as John E. Bravo’s shooter. As she was taken into custody, Acey Romero said to Tommy Dreamer, that he wonders where Taya will end up. Dreamer said if she is lucky she is going to Jacksonville State Prison, but if not, then she will go to Stamford Correctional for two years, with an option for a third year. Dreamer said to trust him, that will change a person altogether. Romero then said that he hopes that Taya doesn’t end up in Baltimore (making reference to Ring of Honor).
