Backstage news on plans for Kenny Omega’s Impact Wrestling appearance this Tuesday

AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega will be making an appearance with Impact Executive Don Callis on Tuesday’s episode of Impact Wrestling on AXS TV.

It was reported this week that there are other planned appearances for Omega in Impact. Dave Meltzer noted on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Impact will be announcing a match featuring Omega on Tuesday’s show. No opponent has been confirmed though.

“So with Omega, did they set up the match? They’re going to announce on Tuesday a Kenny Omega match.”

Bryan Alvarez ran down the segment that Omega, Don Callis, and Karl Anderson did during Saturday’s Impact Final Resolution special. This saw Anderson join the two other stars on Omega’s private bus.

Basically, they ribbed Anderson for not thinking he could beat Ethan Page, who is leaving Impact as his contract is slated to expire, in about two minutes. They noted that the older Anderson could do it before happy hour ends.

On Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Omega will take on Joey Janella in a No DQ Match with the stipulation that if Janella wins then he gets a future title match.
