Sting meets Cody Rhodes in the ring on AEW Dynamite
This week on AEW Dynamite, Tony Schiavone conducted an in-ring interview with Cody Rhodes. Before Rhodes could say anything, the lights went out and Sting walked out to the ring.
Rhodes started out by thanking Sting. He said he’s been waiting to share a ring with Sting for a long time. Sting pointed out Darby Allin sitting in the stands and said that there’s something very familiar about AEW and he knows that he is in the jungle and back on TNT.
Sting said, “the only thing for sure about Sting is nothing is for sure.” He added that he is officially signed to an AEW contract and he plans on being close to the fans and in the promotion for a long time.
Sting ended by saying, “But the way I choose to play is my business. See you around kid.”
As noted earlier this week, there are plans for Sting to wrestle in AEW. Sting has said in previous interviews that his neck feels fine and he feels like he could step in the ring again. He said that while under WWE contract and now it looks he may be stepping in the ring for AEW.
