Eric Bischoff reacts to Sting joining AEW

Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite was memorable for two reasons.

In the headliner, Kenny Omega beat Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Heavyweight Title. The other reason was Sting not only making his promotional debut, but also the announcement he has signed a multi-year deal.

Sting is expected to be a full-time star although he won’t be taking any bumps.

Eric Bischoff took to Twitter on Thursday morning to give his take on Sting joining All Elite Wrestling.

A fan brought up how Bischoff recently stated that he didn’t think AEW wasn’t innovating enough to attract new viewers. When the fan asked Bischoff whether he thought Sting’s arrival may have changed that, Bischoff wrote the following as a response:

“I’m excited about the possibilities with the addition of @Sting to the @AEW roster and the potential of the story going forward. So far, they’ve over delivered on one very important story element and have laid an intriguing foundation for another. I’m in.”

On next week’s episode of Dynamite, Sting will do his first promo in an AEW ring.
