Cody Rhodes reacts to fan calling AEW an “abomination”
Cody Rhodes serves as an on-screen performer as well as an Executive Vice President for AEW.
Because of this, he takes great pride in the promotion and when a fan decided to be a troll, he responded with a valid statement instead of just going off on this person.
It all started when FITE TV posted a tweet about the All In event in 2018, which really started the idea behind All Elite Wrestling as it was an independent wrestling show that sold 10,000 tickets.
The person wrote, “Ah yes, the start of the crime that has been perpetrated on professional wrestling. This birthed the abomination that is AEW. A dark day indeed.”
Rhodes responded with, “I mean this day bettered the wrestling economy and QOL standards for an entire industry, so no matter which way you shake it…a great day in our history. (Not unlike the days Dream had those 3 initials on your mask white hot and fans got better wrestling and the boys got rich).”

They would then have the following exchange:
???
It’s already been seen. Every company has had to up their financial commitment, duration, and QOL elements in their contracts.
Wrestlers and their families like to eat and expand their target audience from 1 promoter to millions of fans.
It’s the best time to be a fan.

As of this writing, Rhodes doesn’t have a match lined up for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite although he could be part of the segment involving Sting to further their storyline.
