AEW World Championship match announced for 12/30 Dynamite

The main event for this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was Joey Janela vs. AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. This was an AEW World Championship Eliminator Match and weapons were allowed.

The match started with Janela nailing Omega with a chair to the face. At the same time, Don Callis attempted to kick Tony Schiavone out of his seat at commentary but Schiavone refused so Callis did commentary on the house mic. Aside from some brief offense from Janela, the match was dominated and won by Omega with the One Winged Angel.

After the match, Death Triangle (PAC, Pentagon Jr, and Fenix) appeared on the stage. PAC said that Fenix never lost in the World Title Eliminator tournament. PAC said that Tony Khan has sanctioned Omega vs. Fenix on the 12/30 episode of AEW Dynamite. The show went off the air immediately after the announcement, apparently because the show was running long.
