AEW star dealing with leg injury

Penta El Zero M is battling an injury that will result in him missing some time on AEW television.

During Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, there was supposed to be a six-man tag team match with The Lucha Bros and Lance Archer against Eddie Kingston, The Butcher, and The Blade

Before the contest, Penta El Zero M was attacked when The Butcher put him through the timekeeper’s table. He was helped to the backstage area by the medical staff and this turned the contest into a handicap match.

The Butcher, The Blade, and Kingston were declared the winners of the contest. Many people wondered why AEW did this angle and it turns out to be related to Penta’s injury.

Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net reports Penta suffered a leg injury while training a few weeks ago. Thus, AEW came up with the angle to keep him out of action for the time being.

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on how long Penta will miss due to the injury. We wish him a speedy recovery.
