Zelina Vega was told Vince McMahon did not want to speak with her as she was escorted from WWE SmackDown
The Zelina Vega firing may stay in the news for a while because of SAG-AFTRA and Andrew Yang’s interest in working on wrestler benefits and on their classification as independent contractors.
WWE’s issue with her Twitch account was what led to her firing but there was some talk about her being willing to take her account down and at one point, she even said that the account might not be up for much longer.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer cites a company source saying that Vega was told about her firing by Mark Carrano and then she asked to talk to Vince McMahon.
Carrano reportedly told her that McMahon didn’t want to talk with her and then she was escorted out of the building. Vega was actually at the building last week for SmackDown when she got the news about her firing.
Shortly after she was told is when she tweeted her support for unionization.
