WWE had plans to change Chelsea Green’s name for her SmackDown debut

Chelsea Green’s WWE SmackDown debut was going to go a little bit different because there were plans to change her name.

Fightful reports that there were plans to give her the name “Victorious” for her main roster debut.

In fact, they had both the names “Green” and “Victorious” on the run sheet for last week’s SmackDown but she kept her name because of a trademark issue. After her SmackDown debut last week, she was scheduled to cut a post-match promo where she would start calling her self “Victorious.”

Per Fightful: “There were some concerns raised by some within the company that there could be trademark issues in making that happen. Both Green and “Victorious” appeared on the internal rundowns.”

As previously noted, Green was supposed to win the Four-way match to win a spot on the women’s team at Survivor Series but an audible was called and Liv Morgan won because of Green injuring her wrist on a bad bump she took at ringside. Morgan was actually the original plan before the script was re-written.

Green is expected to be out for a few months. No word on if WWE plans on changing her name when she returns to action.
