WWE discussed sending Kevin Owens to NXT UK last year

Not only did WWE have plans of sending Kevin Owens back to NXT for more than one appearance last year, but the company even discussed the idea of having the former WWE Universal Champion work in NXT UK.

Owens shared the news about going back to NXT during an interview with Bleach Report a few months ago. 

Owens made a one-night comeback in 2019 by being the mystery partner for Tommaso Ciampa, Donovan Dijak, and Keith Lee in the men’s WarGames Match at the NXT TakeOver: WarGames III event.

Owens recalled the discussion about NXT UK during an interview with the Metro.

“They’re all extremely talented guys, and I would love to compete with any of those guys. I kinda got to do a bit with Imperium last year, so that was cool. At one point there was a plan for me to go back to NXT at some point last year, which didn’t happen, obviously. But we had even discussed, maybe if that happens, then maybe I could show up on NXT UK and work with all these different people. I’d love to get to do that.”

Owens noted that he would love to be part of the brand and help them out.
