The Miz made history at WWE TLC
The Miz made history at WWE TLC
The Miz did cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase at Sunday’s WWE TLC pay-per-view event, but it didn’t go as planned in the storyline mind of the character.
The show opened up with Drew McIntyre defending the WWE Title against AJ Styles in a TLC Match. However, during it, The Miz came down to the ring and made the decision that it was the right time to cash in. It turned into a Triple Threat Match.
However, McIntyre was able to overcome the odds and climb the ladder to retrieve the title to win the contest.
WWE’s stats & info Twitter account noted that The Miz made history, but perhaps not the way that he wanted to do so.
“.@mikethemiz is now the only Superstar in @WWE history to have both a successful and an unsuccessful Money in the Bank contract cash-in. #WWETLC.”

If you recall, The Miz cashed in his first Money in the Bank contract on a November 2010 episode of Raw after a successful WWE Championship defense by Randy Orton against Wade Barrett. The Miz pinned Orton to become the new WWE Champion. During this WWE Title reign, The Miz headlined WrestleMania 27 against John Cena.
