Teddy Hart misses court again, now facing arrest

19

Edward “Teddy Hart” Annis found himself in trouble once again when he failed to appear at a court hearing in Titusville, Florida. The professional wrestling veteran was initially arrested on July 15, 2023, on charges of possession of MDMA (ecstasy) and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, both of which are considered third-degree felonies in Florida.

After missing a required court appearance on February 8th, a bench warrant was issued for Annis’ arrest. However, his attorneys later submitted a motion on March 13th to drop the bench warrant, explaining that Annis was hospitalized at the time of the hearing and unable to contact his attorney. The prosecution did not object to this motion, and the bench warrant was revoked on March 14th.

Despite this, Annis failed to show up for his court appearance on Thursday, leading to a new warrant being issued with a $4,000 bond.

The police report for Annis’ original arrest on July 15, 2023, reveals the events leading to his arrest. Officer Eduardo Gonzales observed Annis driving a gray 2022 Ford Mustang at a high rate of speed and failing to obey a traffic signal. During a traffic stop, the officer detected the odor of burnt marijuana in the vehicle. Upon further inspection, loose leaf marijuana was found in the car, and Annis claimed to have a medical marijuana card. Additionally, red pills and powder, later confirmed to be MDMA, were discovered in a glasses case. Anabolic steroids were also found in a fanny pack along with more MDMA.

The situation continues to unfold, and updates on Teddy Hart’s legal issues will be provided as they become available. Stay tuned for more information on this ongoing case.
