Samoa Joe returning to in-ring action next month at WWE NXT: TakeOver 36
According to a report from F4WOnline, Samoa Joe is making his return to the ring after being out of action for a year.
The report noted that Joe’s return was set up at Wednesday night’s WWE NXT television tapings witht Joe challenging Karrion Kross for the WWE NXT Championship at WWE NXT TakeOver 36 on Sunday, August 22.
Joe last wrestled in WWE in February 2020. He has been sidelined from in-ring action due to concussion issues. He was working as a color commentator for Monday Night Raw before he was released by WWE this past April. He made his return as William Regal’s Enforcer on the June 15 episode of NXT. In addition to his on-screen role for WWE NXT, he works as a talent scout for the yellow and black brand.
