NJPW signs Hiromu Takahashi for new contract

A big news for NJPW fans as one of the top Japanese superstars, Hiromu Takahashi, has officially extended his contract with the company. Takahashi, who has been a part of NJPW since 2010, is a five-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.

The news of Takahashi’s contract renewal was first reported by Tokyo Sport’s Yusuke Okamoto on his personal Twitter account. Okamoto shared, “[Breaking news] Hiromu Takahashi, whose contract was renewed today, quickly left the office without responding to any interviews from the waiting press (I was the only one). That’s all from the scene… Ah! wait a minute! This is LINE from Hiromu-chan! “I signed a contract” It’s a contract! Hiromu Takahashi is under contract! That’s all from the scene!”

Takahashi recently competed at WrestleKingdom 18 where he lost the Jr. title to El Desperado. Fans can catch him next at NJPW’s Windy City Riot event in Chicago.
