New Japan Pro Wrestling now owns STARDOM!

NJPW and STARDOM Wrestling have announced a new partnership, aimed at enhancing collaboration and efficiency between the two promotions. The agreement, set to take effect on June 28, 2024, will see STARDOM become a fully owned subsidiary of NJPW, with both companies operating under the umbrella of Bushiroad Fight.

In a statement released on NJPW1972.com, it was revealed that NJPW will fully acquire Bushiroad Fight Co. Ltd., which will be renamed as STARDOM Co. Ltd. The acquisition is aimed at improving operational efficiency and streamlining processes within the sports unit of Bushiroad. The transfer of stock is scheduled for June 28, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between NJPW and STARDOM.

Bushiroad Fight President/CEO Taro Okada expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, highlighting the progress made since STARDOM joined the Bushiroad Group in 2019. He emphasized the collaborative efforts between NJPW and STARDOM, which have led to milestone events such as matches in the Tokyo Dome and the establishment of the IWGP and NJPW STRONG Women’s Championships.
