Lance Anoa’i asks to leave MLW

Lance Anoa’i, a wrestler hailing from the famous Samoan wrestling dynasty, is seeking to part ways with Major League Wrestling (MLW), just like his fellow wrestler Alex Hammerstone.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Anoa’i has requested his release from MLW, but as of now, his request has not been granted.

Anoa’i has been keeping busy by working for Pro Wrestling NOAH in recent months while taking a break from MLW TV. Similar to Hammerstone, he has been absent from the latest updated online roster of MLW and has not been seen in any MLW events since July. Currently, he is not scheduled for any upcoming shows.

The report from Fightful Select mentions that there were some initial issues between Anoa’i and MLW at the beginning of 2023, which the company was trying to resolve. However, Anoa’i is still firm in his decision to part ways with MLW.
