Kenny Omega speaks on Impact Wrestling and he has something big planned for AEW Dynamite

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega was interviewed at the end of this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling on AXS TV. Before the interview got started, Impact Wrestling Champion Rich Swann was not allowed to go through a restricted area because Omega was in the area.

Josh Mathews went to a large tour bus outside of Skyway Studios in Nashville to interview Omega and he was joined by Don Callis. Callis began by removing Moxley’s nameplate and adding one with Omega’s name on it.

Callis talked about his history with Callis and Callis being trained by Omega’s uncle, The Golden Sheik 27 years ago. Callis says he was introduced to Omega when Omega was 10 years old and he has looked after Kenny like the Sheik looked after him. Callis said he returned to wrestling 5 years ago so he could be with Kenny and this was all part of a plan and it was all planned when Tony Khan invited him to his house at AEW.

Callis noted that he was the one who booked Omega vs. Chris Jericho in New Japan Pro Wrestling and that match changed the course of history and what happened on Dynamite also changed the course of history.

Omega took issue with being asked if what he did on Dynamite to Moxley would tarnish his legacy. Omega said that Moxley laid his hands on his family (Callis) and that meant that the gentlemen’s agreement was broken. Omega then said that he feels like the old version of himself again and he fancies himself as a hobbyist and he used to collect comic books. Omega then said that he could never get the rarest prizes when he collected comics but he has captured the rarest prize, the AEW World Title. He also said that he wouldn’t mind adding more to his collection and he has something big planned for tomorrow night on AEW Dynamite.

Omega ended by saying, “goodbye and goodnight. bang!”

As noted earlier, Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone appeared earlier in the show. Click here to see the video of Khan and Schiavone on Impact.
