Kenny Omega retains AAA Mega Championship at Triplemania XXVIII

Kenny Omega retained his AAA Mega Championship at Triplemania XXVIII in a match against Laredo Kid.

The match was filled with tons of high impact moves and near falls. Michael Nakazawa was in Omega’s corner for the match and his interference late in the match allowed Omega to hit the One Winged Angel to allow Omega to retain the title. Omega refused to shake Laredo Kid’s hand after the match.

Omega was on two shows in one night because he also appeared in a pre-taped segment (likely taped last week) during the Impact Wrestling Turning Point show alongside Don Callis and Karl Anderson.

Omega will move on to AEW Dynamite this Wednesday where he will defend the AEW World Championship against Joey Janela in a No DQ match.
