Kenny Omega recently opened up about the controversial Brawl Out incident that took place during AEW ALL OUT 2022, involving CM Punk and The Elite, during a live stream on Twitch.

During the discussion, a fan asked “The Cleaner” about his current relationship with “The Best in the World.”

Omega responded by saying, “My status with Punk right now? I’d say it’s just mutual respect. We’ve reached out to each other. To be honest, I can’t think of anyone in wrestling that I have a dislike or issue with, especially not with wrestling. It’s not a matter of ‘we’re good now,’ it’s more like we were never bad. In all honesty, if it weren’t for certain circumstances, we would have been able to have that conversation on the night of Brawl Out. There’s no animosity between us, at least as far as I know. I don’t think there’s any at all.”

He went on to explain, “I don’t want to come off as distant or secretive about what happened. Of course, there are legal matters involved, but even without that, I’m not a big fan of airing out personal issues that don’t need to be public knowledge. That’s why I believe that if guys need to settle something, it’s best done privately. It’s just a way for them to talk things out and clear the air.”

Omega also addressed his role as an EVP in AEW, mentioning that he hasn’t had any power in that position for over four years.

He admitted, “The truth is, I’m a terrible EVP. I don’t deserve to hold that title. If people seek my advice, I’ll do my best to assist them. If there’s a backstage issue that needs resolving, I’ll do my utmost to handle it.”
