Keith Lee attempts to gain trademark rights to his name
Keith Lee is attempting to get the trademark rights to his name.
The former WWE NXT Champion did so on December 18th with The United States Patent and Trademark Office, according to Heel By Nature.
The filing also included various screenshots to show that he has used the name in the past. This filing was done outside of WWE. He included a signed consent form for his own filing. Here is the description:

It should be noted WWE has attempted to file for the name, but it’s slated to be canceled as they failed to get a consent form signed by the WWE star. On June 5th, WWE responded to the request by stating, “Applicant is in the process of obtaining the required consent.”
On June 30th, the trademark office sent a letter to them noting that the trademark will be abandoned on December 30th if they didn’t get the form signed by Lee. WWE is dealing with the same issue as Mia Yim, who is the real-life girlfriend of Lee.
