Jake Roberts to miss tonight’s AEW Dynamite due to non-COVID illness
Jake Roberts took to Twitter this morning to alert fans that he will be missing tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
Because AEW will be airing tonight’s show live and then taping next week’s episode as well, he’ll also be missing on next Wednesday’s show. He noted that the reason for his absence is due to an illness, but the good news is that it’s not related to COVID-19.
The WWE Hall of Famer sent out the following:
“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to appear tonight due to illness (not COVID). These days we all have to be on point. Looking forward to seeing everyone in two weeks. In the meantime, keep an eye on Lance for me on #AEWDynamite LIVE TONIGHT 8/7c on TNT.”

We mentioned on the site back in November the legendary pro wrestler announced that he is struggling with COPD. At the time, he noted that he intends to continue to work as Lance Archer’s manager in AEW as long as it remains possible.
Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite will feature an appearance by Sting as well as Kenny Omega vs. Joey Janella in a No DQ Match, Cody Rhodes vs. Angelico, and more.
