Identity revealed for Carmella’s new associate on WWE Friday Night SmackDown

As seen last night on WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Carmella now has an associate that accompanies her to ringside.

The associate delivered the contract for their upcoming match at the WWE TLC pay-per-view and he was attacked by Banks. He was slapped before taking a Backstabber. At the end of the show, he was attacked again by Banks and was put in the Banks Statement submission.

The associate is actually NXT’s Akeem Young (real name Sidney Bateman). He was signed by WWE back in January of this year.

Young tweeted about his SmackDown debut after the show went off the air. It’s not clear if this is a recurring role for him or if this was a one-time thing.
