Former WWE star Andrade appears at AAA event challenging Kenny Omega

Former WWE Supserstar Andrade appeared in video last night’s Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide Rey de Reyes event and challenged Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega Title at Triplemania.

The challenge comes as Andrade is set to appear for Federacion Wrestling’s debut pay-per-view event on Saturday, June 19, and an upcoming match against Alberto El Patron at the Nacion Lucha Libre event in McAllen, Texas on Saturday, July 31.  

Kenny Omega, the current AEW World Cham[ion and IMPACT World Champion has held the AAA Mega Championship since October 19, 2019. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic he has only appeared for the company sporadically. 

Omegadefended the AAA Mega Championship at Triplemania XXVIII last December, successfully retaining against Laredo Kid.  

There is no official date set for this year’s AAA Triplemania event.
