Ex-XFL Commissioner is asking federal judge to order Vince McMahon to store $23.8 million for lawsuit

Former XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck has filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, the ex-owner of the XFL, for wrongful termination.

The belief is that Luck was supposed to get between $20-25 million over five years., which is why he left his spot in the NCAA to take the job with the XFL.

According to OK Magazine and legal documents revealed by Law360.com, Luck is asking a Connecticut federal judge to order McMahon to immediately store $23.8 million that would go to pay Luck’s award for the lawsuit.

Luck stated in the court documents that the evidence is so clear in his favor that he feels McMahon should save the money while he waits for the court to decide the fate of the case.

“The facts clearly demonstrate that Mr. Luck never performed any act or omission that would qualify for termination for cause under the employment contract,” the filing says.

Luck states that was fired without cause and that under the terms of his contract he is owed his pay for the remaining three years on the contract, which has a personal guarantee attached to it by McMahon.

The Rock and his partners have bought the pro football league with the idea that it will return in 2022.
