Edge to compete on WWE SmackDown for the first time in 11 years
It was announced during tonight’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown that for the first time in 11 years, Edge will compete in a one-on-one match against Jey Uso. The winner of next week’s match will be the enforcer for the WWE Universal Championship Match at Fastlane.
The last time Edge wrestled on an episode of WWE SmackDown was March 25, 2011 where he was victorious over Drew McIntyre.
The other match scheduled for next week’s show is Sasha Banks defending the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Nia Jax.
Next week is the final Friday Night SmackDown before Fastlane, which will be live on pay-per-view and streaming on the WWE Network and Peacock.
