Cody Rhodes responds to fan criticism about his AEW Dynamite match
Cody Rhodes is slated to be back in action on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite as he’ll take on Angelico of TH2 in a singles match.
Clearly, Rhodes is one of the top stars in the promotion and many see this being a clear-cut win for the former AEW TNT Champion.
A fan brought up that this feels like a random match. The fan wrote, “Literally such a random match. I’m a huge @CodyRhodes fan but why?? TH2 randomly stopped feuding with the bucks?”
Rhodes responded with, “I say this with the utmost respect. There’s a ring. It’s a wrestling show. And he’s a great wrestler. Guy who wins makes more money than the guy who loses. (And if you doubt that, ask yourself who makes more money…Chris Jericho or Fuego).”

The rest of the card for this episode features a stacked lineup with bouts such as NWA Women’s World Champion Serena Deeb and Big Swole vs. Ivelisse and Diamante, Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, MJF, Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz, Jake Hager, and Wardlow) vs. Top Flight, Brandon Cutler, Varsity Blondes, and Best Friends.
The biggest thing to be confirmed will see Kenny Omega vs. Joey Janella in a No DQ Match with the stipulation that if Janella can get the win then he will be given a shot at Omega’s World Heavyweight Title.
