Charlotte Flair announced for “Walking Tall” remake for USA Network
According to a new report from Deadline, writer and producer David Eick is developing another remake of the 1973 feature film “Walking Tall”.
The previous remake, which starred former WWE Champion Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was released in 2004.
This new version with Flair is being produced exclusively for the USA Network, with the hope that it will become a regular TV series on the cable channel.
Flair will star as a Tucson, Arizona police officer who finds herself caught up in fraud, exploitation, and murder. Flair will be forced to go full vigilante in order to protect her hometown from falling victim to corruption, which is the similar storyline that was in the previous two films.
This newest remake is produced by Village Roadshow in association with WWE Studios, Mosaic, and Three Rivers.
As of this report, there is no word when filming will begin, or if Flair will need time away from WWE.
