Brian Cage responds to reports AEW picked up the option year on his contract

On Thursday, Fightful and several media outlets were reporting that Brian Cage told those close to him that AEW picked up the option year on his contract. 

The initial report stated that Cage was reportedly surprised by this, as was expecting his contract to expire. It was also noted that he is among one of the top paid talent’s in AEW.

Cage took to Twitter to respond to the reports, which is at the bottom of this article.

His last match on AEW television was an episode of Rampage that aired last October when he lost an FTW Championship Match against Ricky Starks. He first signed with AEW in early 2020.

Cage has been made appearances for Warrior Wrestling, Future Stars of Wrestling, Maryland Championship Wrestling, XPW and REVOLVER.
