Bret Hart says he is “happy at home” when asked about a potential role in AEW
WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart says he would love to be part of AEW, but for right now, he is happy being at home.
Hart spoke with Lucha Libre Online, and says that he wants to be remembered as a wrestler, and not as a manager or in another role. He also said right now he’s making up for lost time after having spent 30 years on the road.
“I’m mostly making up for a lot of lost time, staying home as much as I can… “trying to make up for all the lost time from being gone all the time for 30 years.”
Hart said that when it comes to a potential role in AEW, he has a lot of respect for the organization, but said he is content spending his time at home. “There’s a lot of things I would love to be part of with AEW and what they are doing and they’ve got some great wrestlers there. I have a lot of respect for the organization and all that but right now, I’m happy at home.”
He further stated and reiterated that is he happy retired, that he is a home guy, and does not want to be remembered as a referee, manager or chairman, and that he wants to be remembered as wrestler.
Hart is currently under a new merchandise deal with WWE and will be in the corner of FTR at the Big Time Wrestling event on Friday, June 10 at the Webster Town Hall in Webster, MA.
