Bobby Fish undergoes surgery after WarGames match
Everyone who worked the men’s WarGames match over the weekend was banged up with bruises following the contest.
The men’s WarGames match headlined the NXT TakeOver: WarGames event on Sunday night from Orlando, Florida at the Capitol Wrestling Center. The Kings of NXT (Pat McAfee, Pete Dunne, NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan, and Danny Burch) lost to The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly).
Oney Lorcan suffered a face laceration while Bobby Fish suffered an injury that resulted in him undergoing the knife.
During Wednesday’s episode of NXT, WWE aired a video titled “Casualties Of WarGames” that had interviews from various people who worked the men’s and women’s WarGames matches.
This is where Fish noted he had to undergo surgery to reattach a triceps. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on how long Fish will be out of action.
The news went under the radar until the company uploaded the video to its YouTube channel on early Thursday morning. You can watch the entire video by clicking on the player below:
