The current ROH Women’s Champion also touched on the rumors surrounding Mone potentially returning for the AEW Big Business event at the TD Garden in Boston on March 13, 2024. She expressed her excitement at the prospect of finally having the opportunity to face off in a dream match.
Sharing her thoughts on the matter, Athena said, “I’m completely intrigued by what could happen at Big Business, just like everyone else, because it’s the most secretive thing in our locker room. If things go the way we all hope, I might have the chance to have one of my dream matches. It’s incredibly exciting for me because I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the ring with this individual on multiple occasions, from teaming up at WWE live events to brief encounters at Money in the Bank and a thrilling fatal four-way on Raw. I truly believe this person is one of the best wrestlers in the world and I only wish the best for her.”
She continued, “While I like to remain humble about my own abilities, battling with self-esteem issues, I’m eager to see how I measure up against this opponent if she does make her way here. I want to test myself against her and see what kind of magic we can create. When two determined women come together, it’s bound to be a thrilling and impactful match. This individual has delivered some of the most memorable matches in women’s wrestling history, and I am determined to have a match with her, even if it means going to Japan. It’s something I have to experience at least once.”
