After former WWE Superstar Andrade appeared in video back on May 1 at the Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide Rey de Reyes event challenging Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega Title at this year’s Triplemania. A video aired at Tuesday’s Triplemania press conference in which Kenny Omega and Don Callis accepted Andrade’s challenge.

After Omega accepted the challenge, Lucha Libra AAA Worldwide announced that the match is now official.

Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide Triplemania XXIX will take place on Saturday, August 14 at Arena Ciudad de Mexico with a limited capacity crowd. No broadcast information for Triplemania has been announced at this time.

Omega has held the AAA Mega Title since October 19, 2019 after defeating Rey Fenix. He also currently holds the AEW Championship and the IMPACT World Championship.
