WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames: Timothy Thatcher busted open in brutal match with Tommaso Ciampa

In the second match of the night at WWE NXT TakeOver: Tommaso Ciampa took on Timothy Thatcher.

Thatcher was dominant for the first several minutes of this match until Ciampa took over for several offensive moves, including a super plex off the top rope. Moments later, Ciampa hit some knees to the face and then he transitioned into a Bulldog choke and Thatcher’s ear was busted open. Thatcher broke out of the choke with a German suplex.

Ciampa won the match with the Widow’s Bell (draping DDT off the rope). This was a hard-hitting and no-nonsense match.
