WWE Network to air new documentary on Pat Patterson
WWE released the content schedule for the month of January on its streaming service, WWE Network.
On January 24th, the company will be airing a new documentary on the life and career of the late Pat Patterson.
The working title for the project is “Pat Patterson Documentary.” The description of the program reads like the following:
“If it wasn’t for Pat Patterson’s creative vision, there would be no Royal Rumble Match. Explore the late WWE Hall of Famer’s immense contributions to sports-entertainment, both in the ring and behind the scenes, in this new documentary.”
The legendary pro wrestler passed away earlier this month at the age of 79. Outside of the ring, he had a big influence on the WWE product for years as well as came up with the original format for the Royal Rumble Match and was part of the “Stooges” with Gerald Brisco during the Attitude Era.
Inside of the ring, he worked for various promotions and became the first-ever WWE Intercontinental Champion.
