WWE files for “The Collective” trademark

WWE has filed for a new trademark as they are looking to acquire the rights to the term “The Collective.”

The company did so on December 15th with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Here is the description:

“G & S: Wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports via an online community portal.”

It should be noted that GCW did hold a series of events back in October with The Collective. Thus, with WWE possibly getting the trademark rights, it could prevent them for using the name.
