Tony Khan, the President of AEW and ROH, was not informed about Jon Moxley’s surprise appearance with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL for The Shield reunion, but he doesn’t seem opposed to the idea of such collaboration in the future.
In a recent article by Sports Illustrated, it was revealed that WWE has shown interest in working with other wrestling promotions, something that Vince McMahon has rarely explored in his long tenure as the head of the company.
During an interview with Comic Book, Tony Khan was asked about the possibility of working with WWE and sharing talent if approached. He responded by saying, “It’s an interesting thought. It would depend on the circumstance.”
Khan has been open to similar situations in the past, such as allowing AEW contracted talents like Bryan Danielson, Paul Wight, and Chris Jericho to submit videos for a special episode of WWE Raw celebrating John Cena’s 20th anniversary in wrestling. He also allowed Billy Gunn to attend his past WWE Hall of Fame induction with D-Generation X.
Overall, Tony Khan seems willing to consider collaboration with WWE under the right circumstances, showing a openness to explore new opportunities in the wrestling industry.
