Tony Khan says he’s interested signing former WWE Superstar Zelina Vega

While appearing on Thursday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW President Tony Khan said that he is interested in talking with Thea Trinidad-Budgen (former WWE Superstar Zelina Vega), and possibly signing her to an AEW contract.

During the appearance, Khan was under the impression that Trinidad-Budgen is still under a 90-day non-compete clause.  However, it is believed that her 90-day non-compete has already ended.

Khan stated that when AEW get’s through the Women’s Title Eliminator Tournament and the Revolution pay-per-view, he would be interested to see where she is at.

She was released by WWE back on November 13, 2020. Shortly before her release was announced, she had posted on Twitter that she supports unionization.

Trinidad-Budgen, along with Paige and AJ Styles, was one of the more prominent WWE Superstars impacted by the recent edict about Twitch accounts.

She had launched an OnlyFans account where people can purchase pictures of her wearing cosplay outfits. There is a strict non-nude policy.

Trinidad-Budgen signed with WWE in 2017. She was the manager of Andrade (and later Angel Garza) from the beginning until the act was broken up. She was moved to SmackDown after not being selected in the WWE Draft. She is married to WWE Superstar Aleister Black.
