Timeframe for Bobby Fish’s in-ring return after undergoing surgery

It was revealed earlier this week that Bobby Fish underwent the knife following the men’s WarGames match this past Sunday night at the NXT TakeOver: WarGames event from Orlando, Florida at the Capitol Wrestling Center.

The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly) beat The Kings of NXT (Pat McAfee, Pete Dunne, NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan, and Danny Burch)  in the headliner of the show.

During the match, Fish suffered a triceps injury and had to get surgery done on December 7th.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the injury was minor as it didn’t tear. The expected timeframe for his return is to be about eight weeks.

Meltzer wrote, “In his case, it was said to be a freak accident. A piece of the cage pierced his elbow and severed the triceps.”

There’s no word yet on how his hiatus will impact WWE’s plans for the rest of the members in the group.
