Thunder Rosa is currently on a mission to reclaim the AEW Women’s World Championship, a title she never officially lost in the ring. Despite her absence from the squared circle, it seems that her time away may not be completely over just yet.
Recently, the women’s wrestling star made an appearance as a guest on The KiddChris Show, where she opened up about her decision to avoid surgery during her extended break from AEW due to injury.
“I didn’t,” Rosa revealed during the interview. “I think the possibility of surgery will probably be in the future. There were two things happening simultaneously. I had tears on my lower back and herniations.”
She went on to explain, “Before I could do anything, I had to wait for the tears to heal. Only then could I start doing the necessary exercises. It took me about seven to eight months to get back into proper exercise routines. I had to make a lot of changes in both my training and personal life. I used to be a runner, but I can no longer run. I had to make tough decisions about what activities were still safe for me. My goal is to be 100% in the ring, so I had to overhaul everything.”
