WWE on FOX has announced on Twitter the following for next week’s Friday Night SmackDown which is the first episode of 2021.
Seth Rollins will make his return to Friday Night SmackDown. Rollins last appeared at WWE Survivor Series back on November 22.
Rollins took part in the Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown elimination match. Rollins was the first to be eliminated by Sheamus after receiving a Brogue Kick and getting pinned. Rollins said he sacrificed himself for the greater good.
It was also announced that Big E and King Corbin will square off. It is not known if this is an Intercontinental Championship Match. Big E defeated Sami Zayn on last night’s show in a Lumberjack Match to become a two-time IC Champion.
Next week’s Friday Night SmackDown which be on New Year’s Day (January 6, 2021), will take place in the ThunderDome at Tropicana Field live on FOX, beginning at 8:00 pm ET.
