Sami Zayn is getting ready for life outside of the WWE. The wrestler, who will be facing GUNTHER for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania XL, has revealed his upcoming stand-up comedy debut titled “Sami Zayn & Friends” at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival in May.

But that’s not all he has in store.

During an appearance on The Ringer Wrestling Show to talk about his championship match and upcoming projects, Zayn shared that he has hired a manager and an agent specifically for ventures outside of WWE.

“I recently got a manager and an agent for outside WWE type stuff,” Zayn mentioned during the interview. “Trying to explore different opportunities beyond the wrestling world.”

Reflecting on some of his memorable moments in WWE, Zayn talked about his various on-screen experiences, from his WrestleMania faceoff with Johnny Knoxville to his interactions with The Bloodline and his comedic segments with Austin Theory revolving around the golden egg.

He noted that the golden egg segments brought out a different aspect of his character and received positive feedback from colleagues.

“It opened their eyes to a different side of me,” he explained. “People started telling me, ‘You’re really good at this.’ It made me realize that I have a talent for it and I want to explore more beyond WWE.”

Zayn also shared his unconventional ideas for a “Sami Zayn And Friends” variety show, aiming to bring a mix of entertainment to the audience.

“To be honest, when I agreed to the show, I didn’t even have a plan,” Zayn admitted. “But now I’m brainstorming a lot of weird and exciting concepts for the show.”
