Ronda Rousey remains wary of the influence Vince McMahon holds over the WWE product. In a recent interview with The Diary of a CEO, the former WWE superstar expressed her concerns about McMahon’s continued involvement, despite his formal resignation due to alleged misconduct.
Rousey recounted how McMahon was purportedly out of the picture at one point, but was still pulling the strings behind the scenes. She highlighted that even though McMahon stepped down amidst sexual allegations, his cronies, like Bruce Prichard, continued to operate under his influence.
The ex-WWE star emphasized the need for Endeavor CEO Ari Emmanuel to clean house and remove McMahon’s old allies from the company. Rousey singled out Prichard as an example of someone who merely echoed McMahon’s directives without offering any original thoughts.
Throughout her interview, Rousey pointed out the toxic environment created by McMahon and stressed the importance of dismantling his legacy within WWE. She commended Stephanie McMahon and Triple H for their efforts but insisted that McMahon’s influence needed to be completely eradicated for real change to occur.
