New match with title implications set for Wednesday’s WWE NXT
A new match has been announced for this Wednesday’s episode of WWE NXT from Orlando, Florida at the Capitol Wrestling Center.
On Saturday, WWE confirmed that Pete Dunne vs. Kyle O’Reilly will take place in a singles match, but with high stakes. The winner of the match receives a shot at NXT Champion Finn Balor at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 6th.
This was expected as this week’s episode saw Damian Priest, Dunne, and O’Reilly make their case for a title shot. However, later in the show, Priest was attacked by the returning Karrion Kross, which clearly leads to a program between those two stars.
